Dell M. Alderman

Mrs. Dell M. Alderman died Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Nacogdoches, Texas, native was a longtime resident of Pooler.

She graduated from high school in Baconton and attended college in Milledgeville. She was a graduate of Sparks College, had taught school in Camilla and had worked in Columbus and Savannah.

She lived in Florida and Louisiana before moving to Pooler. She was active with various programs of the Methodist Church and Garden Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Merita D. Alderman; a son, Nathaniel Alderman, Jr. of St. Petersburg; three sisters, Ethyl Bridges of Marietta, Virginia Gracen of Pooler and Nell Roach of Savannah; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Graveside service; 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Pooler.
