Jennifer (Kane) Horst, 37, Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 19-month battle with leukemia.
Born in Lebanon on Jan. 18, 1973, she was a daughter of Earl W. and Susan (Radai) Geeseman, Lebanon.
Jennifer was a 1991 graduate of Lebanon High School and received an associate degree as a physical therapy assistant from Penn State University.
She worked as a physical therapist assistant at The Physical Therapy Association of Myerstown for five years.
She attended Myerstown Church of the Brethren.
Jennifer will be remembered for her courage, determination, strength, sweet smile and giggle. Her family was her greatest accomplishment. She loved them passionately and her children were her world and greatest treasure.
Jen was an awesome wife and mother. She loved shopping and enjoyed cooking, baking and sharing her delicious dishes with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by her husband, David H. Horst, to whom she was married for 10 years on Sept. 23; her beautiful children: Ryan David and Grace Catherine; sisters, Linda K., wife of Victor Amoruso, Cumberland, Md.; and Ann Bowman, Telford; niece and nephew, Audrey and Luke Bowman; and mother-in-law, Fay L. Horst.
Jen also leaves behind countless friends who have been by her side as she fought so hard to beat this disease. She has touched many hearts and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. in Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, with the Rev. Dean Lengel officiating. Burial will follow in Schaefferstown Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
