John married Sirrenna Mary Herron July 15, 1832, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana. To this union thirteen children were born. After the death of Sirrenna, John married Martha Ann (Shoemaker) Groom. She was the widow of Peter Groom. To this union three children were born; David, Lewis, and Grace Isabelle.
