Mrs. Olive A. Gowen died at her home on North Main Street on Sunday, January 18, 1903 at age 67 years & 7 months & 13 days.
She had been out of health for many years, but patiently bore her sufferings, never complaining, her only thought seeming to be of those around her and trying to do for them. A few days before her death she was confined to her room.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, a woman of superior character and intelligence, and much esteemed by all who knew her.
There were several beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends.
Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
