She was married to John Horvath of Merrittstown, PA who died of the 1918 Influenza. She was the mother to the following children:
Frank,Jozef, Anna, John, Michael and Maria Horvath.

She was born and raised in Hungary.

She came to this country in 1905

She died at her daughter, Anna Kotala's, home in Ambridge on Sunday, August 3, 1947 at 12:30 PM. Friends were being received in the late home of Merrittstown until 8:30 AM. August 7, when prayer service was held and followed by Requiem High Mass in Holy Rosary R.C. Church with Rev.Fr. Andrew J. Balok as celebrant.

She had something for two years before she died. I cannot read the reason for death on the Death Certificate.

Interment in the church cemetery (Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic, PA) under the direction of Haky Funeral Home, Uniontown.


On the 1910 Census, her name was Borie/Borbala Suhon Horivat, Hungary, immigration date was 1905 supposedly came through Philadelphia port of entrance. In 1910 they lived in Bentleyville, Washington County, PA.

On Sept. 7, 1943 she was admitted to Brownsville Hospital. She was discharged on Sept. 16, 1943. I have no clue what she was hospitalized for.
