ROSCOE "DUSTY" BALDWIN
AGE: 88 MATAWAN
Roscoe "Dusty" Baldwin, 88, of Matawan, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was born in Cabool, Mo. He lived in Texas before moving to Matawan 65 years ago.
For 40 years, he worked at Dupont, Parlin as an area supervisor, retiring in 1984.
He served his country in the Army as a second lieutenant during World War II.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council; and a communicant of St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, Matawan.
Dusty was an avid golfer and bowler.
Dusty was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene Murphy Baldwin, who passed on Oct. 21, 2010; and two dear sisters, Gwendolyn Dunkle and Juanita Thibodeaux.
He is survived by his loving children, Dale R. Baldwin and his wife, April of Belford, Sharyn Pinter and her fiancé, Frank Schaufele of Red Bank, and Terry Baldwin and his wife, Chris of King George, Va.; a dear brother, Greydon Baldwin and his wife, Bernice of Orange, Texas; nine cherished grandchildren; and six precious great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, with an 11 a.m. service at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport.
