There is an article on Mark Mann on Pages 409-410 of "History of Wapello County Iowa and Representative Citizens," edited and compiled by Capt. S.B. Evans and published in 1901. This article contains a detailed and fascinating account of Mark's service in the Civil War, and his name is also listed in the "War Record - Civil War," on Page 169, under Co. I of the 17th Infantry. According to this article, Mark and Susanna had seven children: Ebenezer, Rebecca (Cool), Isaac, James, Edward, Agnes, and Mary.

[From Tuesday's Daily.]

At 9:15 o'clock this morning, at the family residence two miles east of this city, occurred the death of Mark Mann. The deceased was 74 years of age and an old and esteemed resident of Center township. He leaves four children, all grown, to mourn his demise.
