I found an 1860 Wisconsin census where it showed Esther Bachman (mother of John Benson Bachman) living with John & Elizabeth in Lodi in 1860. I believe this is his mother. The birth date on that census is 1793 PA as her birth. It would make sense, since they were living in Lodi, Dane County, WI that she would be buried in Dane County. I believe this memorial belongs to John's mother.
Just passing along what I found when researching his son, Edsil's place of birth. Edsil's daughter's birth record (Ruth Elizabeth Bachman (b1884) states Edsil was born in Eau Claire, WI and her mother was born in Menominee, WI. I can't confirm any of this that I found on Edsil's daughter's birth record
Here is John's marriage record to Eliza in 1867 - listing his parents as Paul & Esther Bachman.
