Janel Porter Krebs, 77, of Pascagoula, Ms passed away at her home on Friday, November 5, 2010. Mrs. Krebs was born in Erath, LA on June 4, 1933 to the late Cletus Porter and Mildred Porter Arceneaux. She was a former member of the Jackson-George County Library Board and of St Joseph's Catholic Church in Moss Point, MS. She enjoyed reading and shopping. She graduated from the Pascagoula High School Class of 1952, who she remained close to throughout the years and considered them extended family as well as her friends at the Imperial Palace Casino.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L Krebs in 1990. She is survived by two daughters; Mary Anne and Beth; a brother, George O. (Marie); a sister, Glenda (Byron); a cousin, Curney Sr.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, November 8, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Services will conclude at Machpelah Cemetery also in Pascagoula. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews.
