Abe Mansfield was born in Folsom, Louisiana on February 2, 1912, and was a former resident of the Glendale Community near Hattiesburg, and has been living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1970. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army and retired after 28 years with Mississippi Central and Illinois Central Railroad Companies. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Glendale and Fernwood Baptist Church in Gulfport. Mr. Mansfield was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Frances Howard Mansfield. Happily Married 1937 to 1987.
