Brown - Elder Bert Walter Brown was born Oct. 24, 1874, in Concordia, Kans., and died Feb. 3, 1970 in Lodi, Calif. He served the church in Kansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Colorado, Wyoming, Alabama, Utah and California as pastor and conference president. Survivors: wife, Zetta Baldwin Brown; 2 daughters, Lola Wilkinson and Lena Cady; a granddaughter; and a brother, Wesley D.

11 September 1914 article in Longmont Call said he was President of the Kentucky Conference and preached at NiWot on Saturday.

10 December 1915 item in Longmont Call stated he was in NiWot from Missouri visiting his sister, Mrs. R.E. Hay, and brother, Wesley Brown
