LITTLETON, Colo. — Aaron Douglas Aikin, 25, suffered a fatal accident Sunday, July 2, 2006, near La Junta, Colo.
Services are planned for 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, at South Suburban Christian Church, 7725 S. Broadway. Arrangements are under the direction of Drinkwine Family Mortuary in Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Dameron, as well as innumerable devoted family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Kerri Dameron-Aikin; father, Dr. Jack Aikin; brothers, Carter, Taylor and Randol; his grandparents, Niki Dameron-Smith and Ed Smith, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Aikin.
If desired, memorials in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Children's Hospital Foundation for heart disease research, with whom Aaron did his master's thesis at Colorado University at Boulder.
Aaron's mother died in Cedar Springs, Texas April 26, 2013.
