Jerome Blaska, 80, a former legislator, retired farmer and political activist, died Monday night at home after a short illness. Blaska was the father of six children, including two Dane County supervisors, David and Michael. His wife, Helen, died in 1981 and a daughter, Betty, died in 1997. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home in Sun Prairie. WSJ 5/3/2000
