Loretta was the daughter of Arnold and Ella (Meyer) Mueller. She attended St. Mary's parochial school in Marytown, WI

On June 3, 1941, Loretta married Alvin L. Morgan in New Holstein at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple farmed in New Holstein and later near Howards Grove. Her husband preceded her in death on November 6, 1978.

During her life, she was employed at the Millersville Box Company in Howards Grove, and Stoeltings Inc. in Kiel. For twelve years, she served St. George Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake as the housekeeper for Fr. Jim Cera. The last 10 years until her death, Loretta worked at Strukel Photography in Sheboygan.

She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Loretta was also a former member of St. George Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake and their Christian Women's Society.

Loretta was a member of several card clubs, enjoyed traveling on bus trips and visiting Arizona. Loretta will be remembered for her enjoyment of life and her love for her family and friends.

Loretta is survived by her four children, Paul (Helen) Morgan of Hingham, Barbara (Glenn) Handrow-Feldmann of Kiel, Mary (Jim) Winkel of Kiel, Judy (Frank) Strukel of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Jean) Handrow of Plymouth, Donald (Renee) Handrow of Janesville, Deborah Morgan of Plymouth, Dawn (Tom) Stecker of Hingham, Jeffrey (Kelly) Winkel of St. Anna, Susan (Roger) Meyer of Oostburg, Stefanie and Anastasia Strukel of Sheboygan; twelve great-grandchildren who knew her as Grandma "Retta," Danielle and Taylor Handrow, Maxwell and Madeline Handrow, Brock and Brodey Reichardt, David, Tommy and Alex Stecker, Dylan and Abby Winkel and Amanda Meyer; one brother, Melvin (Joanne) Mueller of St. Nazianz and also by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Arthur Handrow Jr. and one great-grandson, David K. Stecker.

Funeral services were held at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
