Bowie was a native and resident of Theodore.
Survivors include two daughters, Ameka McWilliams of Mobile and Brandy Bowie of Gautier; two sisters, Merian Lipsey of Milwaukee and Bobbye Lewis of Grand Bay; six brothers, Lonnie Bowie of Milwaukee, Clifton Bowie Sr. of Bayou La Batre, Fred Bowie of Fowl River, Isaac Bowie of Mobile, Wilbert Peyton and Shelton Peyton, both of Grand Bay; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Samuel Jacksons Mortuary on Cody Road North in Mobile. Viewing will also be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral at New Beginning Ministries on Homestead Avenue in Grand Bay. Burial will follow in Fernland Cemetery .
