Son of Joseph Clair "Cap" [Houde] Houle and Josephine "Josette" Carbonneau dit Provençal.

Husband of Ida [Couture] Seymour.

Father of 14 children: Helen "Ellen" (Houle) Machia, Josephine (Houle) Sampson, John Eapole Houle, Mary "May" Houle, Adelia "Adele" (Houle) Grinney (died at age 19), Olive Elizabeth (Houle) Devine, Frank and Fred Houle (twins), Margaret M. "Maggie" (Houle) Franklin, Emily Houle, Edward Louis Houle, William Henry Houle, Elsie Ida M. Houle, and Louis Richard Houle (died at 4 mos. of age).

The cause of death were the effects of an amputated leg which had caused him great suffering for 3-1/2 years. He was engaged in the building trade and was a competent carpenter/builder.

The current marker replaced old, disintegrating individual stones in 1993.
