BRADENTON, Fla. - Hila Miriam Bailey Christian, 93, of Bradenton, formerly of Beckley, W. Va., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000 at The Shores Assisted Living, Bradenton, after a short illness.
She was a graduate of Concord College, a schoolteacher in Raleigh County, W.Va., with 35 years of service and in the Northwest District of Hamilton County, Ohio, for nine years.
Surviving: daughter, June Christian Hutcheson of Palmetto, Fla.; granddaughter, Terry Mayo of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, W.Va., with the Rev. Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Beckley.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of choice.
