Orlando often worked as a farm hand, a factory worker, as well as a cook and food preparer in restaurants. He worked a number of years at the Cafe San Rocco in Hammonton, New Jersey.
After falling from a building at five stories in 1996, Orlando was left disabled but continued to live in Hammonton, NJ, until his passing in 2001.
He also battled cancer in his last years which he finally lost. He left behind four children, who barely knew him, and came from a family of 15 children.
Orlando enjoyed watching wrestling and reading his Bible in spanish as well as"novelas" which were cowboy stories written in Spanish. He learned English from reading the TV Guide.
He loved Budweiser beer. Many photographs(and videos) have him holding a Bud!
