Mrs. Tysor was born in Rockingham County on January 8, 1920, to the late William Hobert Myers and Mary Belle Newman Myers. She was of the Baptist faith.
Along with her husband they were the original owners of Sealtest Dairy Bar and Grill from the late 1940's to the early 1960's.
Marjorie Tysor is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnston and husband Jerry of Danville, VA; one sister, Bobbie Wikle of Mayodan; three grandchildren, Jay Johnston and wife Rebecca of Danville, VA, Lisa Johnston of Danville, VA, Dawn Hanson and husband Jeff of Louisiana, and five great-grandchildren, Tysor and Olivia Hanson, Dalton Pruitt, Evan and Andrew Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her brother, "Shag" Myers, and two sisters, Nancy Link and Gladys Weldon, and her husband, Ralph Leon Tysor.
