son of Deacon David Paddock(1705-1772)& his wife Mary Foster Paddock(1709-), daughter of Mercy Foster. Foster married Tamson Raymond(1741-1832) in 1765 in Town of Southeast,Putnam County, NY(Now Dutchess County,NY)

Foster & his wife Tamson had at least 3 children:
1. Anthony(1767-1834)married Rahama Marshall
2. Joseph(1771-1828) married 12/31/1793 Diana Basley He died 10/31/1828 in Champion, Jefferson Co., NY
3. Foster, Jr(1773-1848)married Chloe Raymond
