Moses Einstein, a prominent and wealthy resident of Niagara Falls, died shortly after midnight. He had been in ill health for some time and as a last resort had an operation performed at the General Hospital in Buffalo yesterday. He rallied somewhat but the shock was too much. Mr. Einstein was born in Buddaweisen, Bavaria, December 11, 1838, and came to Niagara Falls 88 years ago. He was engaged in the meat business many years, was successful and owned much valuable real estate and other property at the time of his death. He retired six or seven years ago and last summer visited his native land. Mr. Einstein was connected with various corporations, being a director of the Carter-Crume Company and a director of the Niagara County Savings Bank. He was a member of the Independent Order of the Free Sons of Israel. In political affairs Mr. Einstein was always an active Democrat, doing much to promote Democratic principles
but never accepting office. Mr. Einstein was married twice. His wife and one son, Henry survive him. The funeral will be held Friday, the hour to be announced later. The remains were brought down from Buffalo.
