Leminoy Lucille Tate Bevill, 84, of Lexington died Sunday at the Holmes County Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 from Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Barber officiating, assisted by the Rev. Leslie Nabors and Bro. Paul Harper. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
A native of Holmes County, Mrs. Bevill was a daughter of George Adam Tate and Clara Ophilia McGarrity Tate. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Mae Truitt of Lexington, and a son, J. W. Bevill, Jr. of Eugene, Oregon; fifteen children and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mack Grantham, Harold Bevill, - Tate, C.E. McNeer, Leo Alderman and Bill McLellan.
