Janet's body was donated to medical science
Janet died when her mother, Melda Elizabeth (Beitzel) Harris, had emergency surgery to remove a cyst. She was a full-term baby and would have been a lovely child. Her mother never saw her, and the Kensington hospital of Philidelphia, Pennsylvania disposed of her body at the direction of her father, W. F. Harris.
A memorial stone is placed in Bittinger Cemetery.
