The present Bethel Church was erected in 1873 at a cost of $5,000. The building committee being compossed of T. J. Moory, E. A. Robins, & R. L. Shepler. Improvements made in 1898 for $2,500 and building re-dedicated by Dr. David H. Moore. The members of the committee in charge were R. L. Shipler, John robins, B. C. Johnson, A. P. Fishel (sp) and J. M. Scott.
Bethel sends out 16 ministers. One of them was Rev. James Harvey Scott, son of another charter member, the Colorado Conference. Bethel Church (Methodist Episcopal) established in 1833 Early members James Scott and wife.
