Martin Wick, 86, a resident of Bismarck since 1883, died Friday from the infirmities of old age. He succumbed at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Stebbins, at 523 Sixth street.
Born in Norway in 1845, Wick came to North Dakota as a young man to engage in the harness making and upholstery business. He installed the carpets in the first capitol building as well as in many of the first structures erected in the city.
He leaves two brothers, two sisters, and a number of grandchildren. His brothers and sisters are Mrs. P. A. Swain, Silkirk, Manitoba; Mrs. C. A. Johnson, Naughton township, Burleigh county; George Wick, Everett, Wash.; and Merlin Wick, Portland, Ore.
Funeral announcements had not been made Friday.

To Conduct Funeral At Masonic Temple
Funeral services for Martin Wick, pioneer Bismarck man who died here Friday, will be conducted at the Masonic Temple Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Wick was a Knight Templar and 32nd degree Mason and pallbearers will be selected from among members of those orders.
There will be special music and the Masonic service will be used.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
