Beulah "Bea" Shipp Estock, age 94, of Alliance, died at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Canterbury Villa of Alliance.

She was born January 9, 1915 in Alliance to H. Frank and Clara Anna (Springer) Thornton. She is the step-daughter of Elizabeth Martin Thornton A graduate of Alliance High School, Beulah was a member of the First Church of God. She was a former leader of Junior Church and teacher of Primary Class for 18 years. She was a member of the church choir and Women of the Church of God. She was a former Girl Scout and Brownie Scout Leader. She was also a member of the Alliance Historical Society involved in restoration of Haines House of which she was a former resident.

Beulah had been employed at Manhattan Dry Cleaners, Shaeffer's Diner, Woolworth's and Copeland Oaks.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia E. (Gene) Shipp Keller and Irene J. (Leslie) Shipp Bissett; step-daughters, Marcella Estock Berletich, Tricia Estock Nervi, Lucille Estock Eberling, Loretta Estock Best, Roberta Estock Whitney, Mary Ann Estock Holland, and Delores Estock Denero; step-sons; Andrew Estock and Robert Estock; daughter-in-law, Rose (Gantz) Shipp; son-in-law, Robert H. Clevidence. 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Milton Clifton Shipp and Andrew J. Estock; son Harvey F. Shipp; daughter Bonnie L. Shipp Clevidence; step-sons Everett Estock and Raymond Estock; brother Roy E. Thornton; sister Pearl Thornton Moorehead; and step-sister Anna Martin Shank Brockett

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with
Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery
