Florence H. Morgan, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and teacher, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada May 2, 2004.

Mrs. Morgan, the daughter of Thomas and Florence McGauley, was born in Providence, Rhode Island December 8, 1916. Mrs. Morgan married the late Alfred Morgan of Yuma in August of 1961 and continued her teaching career in the Yuma Elementary School District for many years.

While living and teaching in Yuma, Mrs. Morgan also gave generously of her time to the Yuma Regional Medical Center as a 30 year volunteer in the Emergency Room. An avid horsewoman, she took great joy in being a featured rider in Yuma's Annual Rodeo Parade on her beloved horse, El Palomo. Mrs. Morgan also rode one year as Grand Marshall of the Parade.

Mrs. Morgan will be remembered as a gracious, understanding and loving wife, mother and outstanding teacher. Her dedication to her family and students will forever be in the hearts of all the lives she touched. She is survived by her daughters, Helen (James) Sax of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jane (Dwight) McIntire of Littleton, Colorado; her grandchildren, Sandra Wammack of Yuma, Jeff Wammack of Las Vegas, Joel Perry of Denver, Ryan Sax, currently in military service in Germany; her brother Thomas McGauley and sister-in-law, Rita of Little Falls, New Jersey, 5 great-grandchildren and all of her students.

Mrs. Morgan requested that there be no public memorial service. In Mrs. Morgan's honor donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Desert Southwest Association, 1028 McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006-2622.
