DC #12277. Ellen is my great gramdmother. She married Loma Hammons about 1905. While there she came down with Polio, and Ellen Walker Hammons contracted the disease from her. The disease hit Ellen so hard that it killed her in-utero baby and disabled her to the point she was removed to the Nevada State Hospital. She was there from 1915 until she passed away. Because Loma was killed by his second wife three years later, the family, being broke up and farmed out to relatives, lost all contact with her. She is my mothers grandmother, but she is also her great great aunt in that her mother Melinda Fry is also my mother's Great Great Aunt. Melinda and James Marion Fry are siblings.
