Orin Vance Botkin, 61, of Ada, OH was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial hospital at 1:20 a.m. Thursday. He suffered a heart attack late Wednesday afternoon.
Death came after an illness of two years. Born Dec. 16, 1890, in Ada, Mr. Botkin was a veteran of World War I and was employed in the Pennsylvania railroad tower in Ada prior to becoming ill.
Surviving are his widow, Eulah; a son, Orvin H. (Buddy) of Ada, and a brother, Harry, Detroit.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ada Baptist church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Fara Laman will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.
Military rites will be conducted by Foss-Agin-Meyer American Legion post, No. 185, of Ada, of which he was a member. The body will remain in Preston funeral home, Ada, until noon Saturday.
