Mrs Rita Casselman Altman 68 wife of Claude Fraser Altman died Thursday afternoon at her residence.
Graveside funeral services were Saturday afternoon in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens directed by Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating were the Rev Frank S. Holsclaw and the Rev Kenneth Littlejohn Hamilton.
Mrs Altman was born in the Warsaw community of Williamsburg County on June 24 1917 a daughter of the late Ezra McClinton Casselman and Mrs Florence Belle Ethridge Casselman. She had lived many years in the Pawleys Island area where she was a member of the Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. Mrs Altman retired as a key punch operator from International Paper Company in 1976, where she had been employed for 28 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Pawleys Island are a son David M. (Ted) Altman Sr. of Pawleys Island three sisters Mrs Esther C Player of Pawleys Island Mrs Mildred C. Altman of McClellanville and Mrs Janie C Howard of Georgetown two brothers John Casselman of Georgetown and the Rev Charles F Casselman of Andrews and one grandson.
