Mildred Lee Casselman Altman, 78, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at her residence.

A memorial service, officiated by Reverend Barry Duke, was held Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the chapel of Graham Funeral Home.

She was born September 27, 1930 in Williamsburg County; a daughter of the late Richard Casselman and the late Belle Freeman Casselman.

Mrs. Altman was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Mackie Gordon Altman Sr.; five children, Mackie (Dolly) Altman Jr. of Pawleys Island, Claude L. (Jenny) Altman of Michigan, Rocky G. (Joyce) Altman of Georgetown, Timothy Altman of Sylvania, Georgia, and Debra Walker of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Altman was predeceased by her parents and by a son, Donald J. Altman.

Note: This obituary has errors. Mildred's parents were Ezra McClinton "Ed" Casselman and Florence Bell Ethridge Casselman. Belle's mother was a Freeman. Richard was not Mildred's father; he was her half brother.
