Adeline's mother died in Nov 1850 near New Berlin, Union Co., Pennsylvania, leaving the father with three young children. Her mother was Amelia, a daughter of Jacob & Magdalena (Bolender) Bowersox. (See memorials 11963949 & 11963970). Her father then married Sarah Kerr, widow of Benjamin Wildermuth.
Adeline was married to Jonathan Camp, probably before he was drafted into the 148th Pennsylvania Infantry in August 1863. In 1870 Adeline and Jonathan were living in Hillsdale Co., Michigan as was her father and the rest of his blended family. By 1880 Adeline and Jonathan were living in Branch Co.
Sometime after this Jonathan disappeared and was never heard from again. Adeline later came to Chicago where she spent the rest of her life.
