Died on February 15 at 3 a.m. at this place, Mr. Silas Hoskins, of pneumonia. Mr. Hoskins was at the time of his death 81 years old and was a veteran of the Civil War. Uncle Silas, as he was usually called, will be greatly missed by the entire community. He leaves a wife and eleven children, all of who was present except two. Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Cornelius at the home burial ground. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all.
