Boyce Dawkins, 59, died Saturday at Mills Clinic in Prosperity. Mr. Dawkins was born and reared in the St. Lukes section of Newberry Co. and was the son of the late Motte and Lillie Nichols Dawkins. He was twice married, first to Mrs. Marjorie Kinard Dawkins and second to Mrs. Martha Bradley Dawkins. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha B. Dawkins of Newberry; two sons, Boyce Marvin of Columbia and Carroll Richard Dawkins of Prosperity; five stepsons, Oliver M. Berry of Big Springs, Tex., Boyd W. and Tony Berry, of Charleston, Joe E. Berry of Biloxi, Miss., and Archie Berry of Spartanburg; three stepdaughters, Mrs. R. B. Ford of Spartanburg, Mrs. M. J. Polutta and Miss Lizzie Mae Berry of Charleston; three brothers, J. Ray Dawkins of Newberry, W. M. Dawkins of Prosperity and Gerald W. Dawkins of Saluda; six sisters, Mrs. Herman Eddy of Newberry, Mrs. Pope L. Buxford of Newberry, Mrs. J. V. Boozer of Newberry, Mrs. Eugene Hunter of Prosperity, Mrs. Elmer Kunkle of Prosperity and Mrs. C. E. Wright of Huntsville, Ala.
