On the 1850 Lynchburg, Campbell Co., VA census, I found merchant Robert J Echols, 30; E McC Echols, 25; Frances McC Echols, 1/12, salesmen: C E Snodgrasss, 19 and Ro A Jones, 25, all VA born (son Jos is not listed).
Elizabeth died 1 June 1853. She is buried in the same cemetery as her parents and died prior to her mother's death. She left behind 3 very young children.
Her full name was recorded as Elizabeth Johnston McChesney with the same birth, death and marriage dates, spouse and children, in kin, Leander James McCormick's published book, Family Record and Biography, 1896, Chicago, p 388-389.
Her monument towers over her mother's grave, beside it.
