Son of William Beverly Hargraves and 2nd wife Appie Spivey; married Nancy "Nannie" Webster on 26 December 1910, both died on the same date. A family member reports this was a murder-suicide. They had one child James Marvin Hargraves, born May 24, 1912, who was raised by Jim's mother.

Marker is damaged and the inscription is covered with concrete. The grave is to the right of his mother, Appie.

Location of Nancy Webster Hargraves grave is unknown.
