Peter Lyall "Bud" Bayne was born July 1, 1920 in Manitoba to Scottish immigrants George Peter Bayne Mackenzie (1882-1964) and his wife Catherin (nee Walker 1886-1948).
Bud's older sister Isabella (1905-1917) had predeceased his birth and he had an older brother George (1907-1942). In 1921 the family lived in the Swan River Municipality, Nelson, MB.
On April 27, 1942 "Bud" married "Letty" Margaret Lettica-Dubray at Dauphin, MB.
They raised two daughters and one son at Moosomin, SK.
