He and Miss Susie Palmer were married in 1885 and moved to Texas soon after their marriage.
Funeral services were held July 9 at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Davis Cozart with the Rev. J. B. Davis officiating.
Pallbearers were Lamar Palmer, Phil Ward, George Kyle Jr., James Kyle, George Chambless, Pat Sandifer.

J. W. Kyle Dies At Age of 82

James William Kyle would have reached the age of 84 year if he had lived until July 12, but as it must to all men death came to the well-known Normangeean, July 8 at 4:20 a.m.
Surviving children are Ed Kyle, Schulenberg; J. L. Kyle, Normangee; Joel Kyle, Pasadena; Mrs. Jim Chambless; Mrs Burton Elliott, Normangee.
He was also survived by 14 grand -children and five great grand-children.
Mr. Kyle died at home of a daughter, Mrs. Elliott.
