Jellico Powder Company Scene of bad accident
Sept 23, 1904, a terrific explosion occurred about 8 o'clock this morning, at the Jellico Powder Company's works, about a mile from this place. Lee Hill (of South Carolina) was killed and Sam Harvey is thought to be fatally wounded. The accident occurred in the building known as the Corning Depot and the structure with its contents was completely demolished. The clothing was burned entirely from Hill's body and his form was burned to a crisp. Harvey was also very severely burned. The cause of this disaster is unknown.

SPECIAL, September 24, 1904 , the dead body of Lee Hill of Jellico Tennessee, who was killed in a powder mill explosion at Jellico, Friday night, was in the baggage car of the East bound train en route to Gaffney South Carolina for interment. The coffin was unhurt as was the body it contained. The remains were forwarded to Gaffney tonight.
that was all of the article assuming the was a train mishap that could have done damage.
