Vernabell Halverson, 67, of Moorhead, Minnesota, died Sunday, February 20, 1994, at a Fargo nursing home.
Vernabell Sink was born on March 29, 1926, at Big Lake, Minnesota, to Lewis and Anne (Dubbin) Sink. She grew up and went to school in Big Lake, Minnesota, and Monticello, Minnesota. Verna also attended St. Paul Bible College for two years. Following her education, she woked at Donaldson's Department Store in Minneapolis, and also at the Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis.
On April 5, 1957, she married Vern Halvorson at Minneapolis. They lived in Fridley, Minnesota for 15 years and Hallock, Minnesota, for four years. In 1975 they moved to Hawley where they owned and operated a Coast to Coast Hardware Store.
In 1986, Verna began working at Town and Country Flowers in Moorhead. The couple moved to Moorhead in Mach of 1993 and Verna retired in the summer of 1993.
Survivors include her husband, Vern of Moorhead; two daughters, Denise (Jim) Larson of Moorhead, and Barbara of Fargo; three sistes, lela Jones of Englewood, Colorado, Lillian (Bill) Stubbs of Long Lake, Minnesota, and Bernice (David) Stubbs of Watertown, Minnesota; three brothers, Alvin and Leo Sink, both of Minneapolis, and Ralph Sink of Richmond, Minnesota; and two granddaughters.
He funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 23 at the Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead. Burial will be at Bagley. Arrangements were by Korsmo Funeral Service, Moohead, Minnesota.
