He was the youngest son to the late Albert Demarkles, and is survived by a daughter, Alexis Demarkles of Hyannis, mother Panagiota Demarkles, and brother Michael Demarkles, both of West Yarmouth. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins in the United States and in Greece.
He moved to Cape Cod with his family in 1980 and established residency in West Yarmouth. He was a college graduate of UMass Dartmouth; proud brother of the Fraternal Lodge of Masons (Mariners Lodge of Cotuit); and cigar aficionado, subsequently establishing a career in the cigar business.
His pride and joy in life was his beautiful and inspirational 15-year-old daughter, Alexis Demarkles of Hyannis. Please keep Alexis and her Baba (father) in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult and trying time.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Centerville.
