Mrs. Linda Boyd Ashberry, aged 70 years, died at her home near Foster, Monday evening, January the 7 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Edgar L. Ashberry, two daughters, Mrs. P. B. Collier, of Grimstead, and Mrs. R. T. Sadler, of Foster; two sons, Clifford and Granville Ashberry of Foster; two sisters, Mrs. William Thomas, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Ernest Callis, of Grimstead; a brother, M. G. Smith, of Highland Springs, Va.
Funeral services were held at Macedonia Baptist Church, Wednesday, at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Gary R. Baldwin. Interment was made in Trinity Cemetery. The active pallbearers were: Edgar Collier, Forrest Ashberry, George Smith, Cleveland Ashberry, Ernest Ashberry, and W. Everette Thomas. Honorary pallbearers: Misses Ethel Sadler, Iris Collier, Pearl Ashberry, Ola Thomas, Hortense Thomas, Ethel West and Mattie Mitchem.
