He was born October 26, 1935 in Daisetta, Texas, to the late Francis N. and Bessie Fregia Dagle. Mr. Dagle was a resident of Rusk 8 years before moving to Fairfield recently.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk and a graduate of Hull- Daisetta High School and Sam Houston State University. Mr. Dagle was a teacher and an administrator in several Southeast Texas School Districts. He retired in 1991 from Hull-Daisetta Junior High School as principal. He was an ordained minister and pastored West End Baptist Church in Saratoga, TX and Batson Prairie Baptist Church in Batson, TX.
Preceded in death by a sister, Julia Delzell.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Dagle of Fairfield, son and daughter-in-law, Burke and Lisa Dagle of Fannett, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Carroll Cain of Fairfield, two sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bob Pumpelly of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Opal Cessna of Hardin, TX, four grandchildren, Whitney Dagle of Baytown, TX, Kelsey Dagle of Fannett, Jacob Cain and Aaron Cain both of Fairfield, one great granddaughter, Payton Dagle of Baytown and a large extended family. Pallbearers will include James Campbell, Ken Peloquin, JoEd Anderson, Bill Cromer, Johnny Sanders, Edward Hassell, Ken Martin and Glenn Cotten. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church Rusk and Brotherhood Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Rusk. Memorials may be made to Troy Dagle Missionary Fund, C/O First Baptist Church, PO Box 258, Rusk, TX 75785.
Interment will be in Russell Cemetery FM 23 under the direction of Wallace- Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
