After an illness of about six months or more, Peter Lewis Isaacs passed away at his home January 30, 1925 at 2:00 PM. It seemed that medical aid was of no avail; his life faded away like a blossom picked in early summer. He was born in Adams County, Wisconsin April 26, 1864.
He came to Yellow Medicine County with his parents in 1883. Married Annie Stevens on March 16, 1892. Their union was blessed with nine children, who are living to mourn the death of a loving and beloved husband and father. They are Alvin, Mrs. Jim Tongen, Ernest, Mrs. August Tongen, Gladys, Myrtle, Genevieve, and Reed, all of Hazel Run. There are eleven Grandchildren, also 3 brothers and six sisters. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, February 3 at 1:30 in the Hauges (Bethlehem) Church. The remains were laid to rest at the Haughes Cemetery, Rev. Oppedahl of Sacred Heart and Rev. Haugland of Hazel Run officiating.
The Pallbearers were Ole Forbord, Toney Clemetson, John Olson, M. M. Anderson, Sam Stevens, and R.N. Aarestad.
He had a signal telling him the gates were open and that God’s angels were ready to escort him in.
