The daughter (and one of 17 or so children) of Russian Jewish immigrants Simon Davidson and his wife Jennie (née Simansky) Davidson, Lillian Davidson Eckstein grew up in Rhode Island even though she was born in Massachusetts. She married Louis Eckstein (1892-1979), and they had one child, a son, Sidney Eckstein (1919-1966).
Following her death in 1969, Lillian was buried in the same cemetery as her paternal grandfather, Isaac Davidson (1817-1912), as well as the final resting place of her own sister, Annie Tobey Davidson Fletcher Quinn. Lillian's husband is buried next to her, as is their son, Sidney.
