James Joseph Joe, 62, of Membertou passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at home.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Marshall) Joe.
He was a member of St. Ann's and St. Anthony Daniel parish, Sydney.
He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his sarcasm in which everyone knew him best. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Elaine (Edward James), Terri'Anne, Amanda, Annie; sons, Everett (Lynne) and Dion (Christina); sister, Sussie Jane Stevens; brothers, Charlie, Dana and Keith; a grandson, Brett Joe; two very special people, Florence Johnson and Mary V. Francis; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn, Margaret and Dolena in infancy and a brother, Donald Gorden.
Visitation for James will start after 5 p.m., today at the family home 140 Membertou St., Membertou. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Daniel Church with Fr. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
