Clinton, Iowa --- John F. Rickerl, 99, died Wednesday at Alverno Home, Clinton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Vistation is 3-9 p.m. Friday at Schmitz Funeral Home, Clinton. A joint parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

He was a carpenter and worked at the Rock Island Arsenal and the former O. Jergensen Co., Clinton, and Curtis Co., Clinton.

Mr. Rickerl married Cecilia Sterk in 1912 in Sugar Creek. She died in 1980.

He was a member of the church; Carpenters Union Local 772 and was a past president; honorary life member of Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Edward's Council 707, Clinton; life member of Loyal Order of Moose 363; and a member of Clinton Labor Congress.

Survivors include daughters, Florence (Mrs. Charles) Kaup, Virginia (Mrs. Marvin) Mumm and Alice (Mrs. John) Pringle, all of Clinton; Leona Blumer, Camanche; and Rose Diedrich, Charlotte; sons, Joseph, George and James, all of Clinton; John C., Victorville, Calif.; Walter, Marshalltown; and Raymond, Muscatine; 55 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Prima Boyce, Portland, Ore.
