Moultrie-Mary Millsap Joiner, 96, of 918 Third St. S.W., died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Sunrise Nursing Home. Graveside rites will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, April 27, at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Hugh Ward officiating.
Mrs. Joiner was born March 19, 1907, in Colquitt County to the late Luncina Kimball Millsap and the late Richard Millsap. she was a registered nurse and a graduated of Orange County, Fla., Hospital School of Nursing; she served her internship in Chicago and Philadelphia.
In addition to her patents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Marion Joiner. Survivors include three sons, Robert Joiner and wife Sheron of Moultrie, Clifford Joiner and wife Mary of Doerun and David Joiner and wife Barbara of Stone Mountain; one daughter Lucina Moncrief and husband Eddie of Dalton; grandchildren, Ed Moncrief and wife Patricia, Mary Fowler and husband Art, Ellen Woodard and husband Todd, Elaine Bivins and husband Richard, Marsha Hawkins and husband Michael, Elizabeth Barry and husband David, and Robert Joiner II and wife Priscilla; and great-grandchildren, Ed Moncrief, Alaina Moncrief, Joseph Woodard, Robert Woodard, Lucina Hawkins and Michael Hawkins II.
Memorials may be made to Colquitt Regional Hospital Nurses Scholarship Fund.
