Funeral services will be held at 2pm at Mills-Humphrey Chapel for Eva C. Case, 69, 1013 North D, who died Friday in a local McAlester hospital.
Mrs. Case was born August 28, 1903 in Limestone, Arkansas and came to Indianola in 1942 from Paris, Arkansas. She moved to McAlester in 1949. She was married to Jack Case, who preceded her in death in November, 1965. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include one daughter Mrs. Alvin (Ruth) Brock, 1013 North D; one son, J.D. Case, 804 North D; five sisters, Mrs. Dorthy Gabbard, Indianola; Mrs. Velma Tripp, McAlester; Mrs. Rachel Cunningham, Albany, Oregon; Mrs. Emma Rice, Poteau; and Mrs. Veda Kirk, Indianola; two brothers, Melvin Clayborn, Wichita, Kansas and R.C. Clayborn, Buckeye, Arizona; 20 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
Elder Alvin Brock, assisted by Elder Charles Wortman, will officiate at the services and burial will be at North McAlester Cemetery under the direction of Mills-Humphrey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Benahm, Pat Vandiver, A.C. Doyle, Joe Kirkpatrick, David Jones and Jim Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons of the deceased.
