Mrs. William Thiedemann, 85, died Sunday evening at her home, 929 Georgia Ave., after a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 8, 1866, at Newton, she attended rural school and was married to Peter Arenz in 1887. The couple came to Sheboygan to make their home in 1891.

She was married to William Thiedemann on June 18, 1927.

Survivors are her husband; three sons, John, George, and Louis, Sheboygan; four daughters, Mrs. Ed (Katherine) Lawrence, Oshkosh; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Weber, Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Albert (Cecelia) Verick, Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Sherwood (Ann) Huebner, Sheboygan; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by six brothers, John, Joseph and Frank Setkiewitz; George, Milwaukee, and Lawrence, Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Mika Platka, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Susan Kareufski, Green Bay.

Two sons preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Ramm Funeral home, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter Claver church, with the Rev. Robert Hoeller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening.
